Comments about Kichler Xenon Three Light White Under Cabinet Light:
Among other slight modifications, this product has had a reflective sheet added behind the xenon bulb area to help deflect more heat away from the mounting surface. The ones we had installed in "03 did not have this, and the inside shelf of the towel cabinet would feel warm to your hand after the fixture had been on for a while. Not dangerously hot, but it would have affected food or medicine stored in a cabinet directly above it.
Three of these fixtures produce wonderful diffused lighting for our 7 X 8 bathroom which has no windows, a solatube for daytime light, and just one incandescent bulb in the shower ceiling.
I can't wait to get them installed in our kitchen. The pop-off cover is a little tricky to get off (had to use a mini screwdriver), but installation was easy enough for even this old mom to perform. I believe improper grounding connections done by our electrician on the older fixture made one of them break down, which is why we had to replace one.
